Gurgaon - the city of malls

Posted by Ashish on April 25th, 2005

I should have blogged about this earlier. One thing that keep amazing me all the time in Gurgaon - is the number and quality of malls here. There are not less than 6-7 malls within a radius of 1 Km (or may be even less). My personal favorite - MGF Metropolitan mall.

If you think that you don’t find cool stuff in India or the average beauty is less, as compared to few other countries, you just need to go and make a trip to this mall. Man, I never knew that we Indians have learnt to dress so well.

Reminds me of the fact that when an american lady asked me - how do we say ‘cute’ in Hindi. How wrong I was (even though, my reply was an attempted humor) when, for the lack of ability to come up with a Hindi word for it, I told her that probably they didn’t find anybody cute enough in India to have coined a word for it.
